Living next to the high school is kind of neat. Especially when the whole town is so supportive of the high school and it's sports, music, and everything else. However, there are SEVERAL negative aspects. For instance, as I speak, the marching band is practicing out side. Neat to hear, but during nap time? Yes, they are practicing outside, and by outside, I mean on the street RIGHT out front of our house. And Josh is...was sleeping. He made it through their first trip by, but once they got up the street, they turned around and came back. Seriously? That's life I guess. At least they're good. However, maybe if they weren't so good, they wouldn't be so loud...and wouldn't be practicing so much.
And reason #2 it's hard to live next to the school...All the high school boys, have trucks. Diesel trucks, that are VERY VERY loud. And we live on a hill, so it takes extra *umph* to get up it which means extra noise. And with open campus for seniors at lunch time (aka, nap time), it makes for some interesting times. But we still love it here, and love being close to the school, despite all the things that go with it.
