Pampere, Pink, and Pretty Post-Poned

Hey Everyone!  I just wanted to let you know that we're going to post-pone Pampered, Pink, and Pretty until next Tuesday, February 8th.  Hope you can still make it!

Last night we were on our way home from Grandma and Grandpa's.  While we were driving, Joe sneezed.  Josh said, "Bwess you!", and daddy said, "Thank you!", and Josh replied, "Welcome!".  How cute. 

Not even a minute later, Duke started to whine.  (He was traveling with us)  And Joshua, having heard his mommy many times, said, "Dute, No!"  Oh, if he only listened that well when we wanted him to!  Each time he says things like that it makes me realize he's just that much more grown up, and growing more even faster!

Mommy, What?

Sorry for the lack of posts.  I have been having internet troubles.  Maybe tomorrow.  But for now, here's the latest!

Joshua has started saying "Mommy" in a new whiny voice.  Like a "Mommy, listen!" sorta whine.  Well he says, "Mommy!" and I say, "What, baby?"  and he says, "Mommy!!"  And I say, "What, Baby??"  and He says, "MOMMY!" and I say, "What, Baby!?!"  (at this point I stop and pick him up because that's probably what he's wanting.   

Well, we've been over that so many times in the last few days that he says it a new way.  He says, "Mommy, What?"  "Mommy!  What  baby!"  "Mommy, What?!?".  Sometimes the innocence of his little mind is just too adorable. 

My Hat

 The other day, Josh decided he wanted to wear his hat...

 ...all afternoon!

 This is surprising because he doesn't even like to keep his hat on while we walk from the car into church!

 But he had a blast playing with his hat on. 

 He really enjoyed climbing in and out of the laundry basket. 

 I love my sweet little boy!

Breakfast Visitors

Joshua isn't really attached to any of his stuffed animals.  However, this morning he wasn't feeling good.  Teeth or ears, something was bothering him.  So he insisted that his stuffed animals join us for breakfast. 

My Destroyer

 Joshua has a need to destroy anything that is stacked, lined up, or in a bucket.

 First he counts down, "Two, Three, Two Three"  (that's how he counts)

Then he goes in for the kill. 

Mission is complete when a car has flown to all corners of the room and there is no longer any sign of organization.

Take That!

Bye-Bye

Joshua was walking around the house saying good-bye to different objects in our living room.  (He does that occasionally)  He said, "Bye-bye Duke, Bye-bye book, Bye-Bye Tiger".  He then walked over to power outlet and says, "Bye-Bye No-no".

Pastor's Fellowship in Walnut

 On Tuesday, we had our monthly pastor's fellowship in Walnut. 

 Josh had a blast playing with this phone he found...as usual!  He's worse than a girl!  He's always on the phone!

He had a lot of fun running around with all the other little kids there too.  There were lots of them and they had so much fun!!

 So much fun that we had trouble keeping him awake on the way home.  We sang about every song and went through about every animal.

But he was tired.  Don't worry, this didn't last for long.  I had him laughing again shortly after.  :-)  We made it home before he fell asleep.  Then I decided to that I should maybe take a nap too.  So nice!

Weird Kid or Wierd Parents?

Recycled Crayons

Here's another idea I got from my MOPS group:  Recycled Crayons

In a muffin pan, place cup cake liners in each space.  Fill each one 2/3 full with crayon stubs (without paper).  You can fill each paper with similar colors or random!  Bake in the over at 275 for 10 minutes, or until crayons are melted.  Remove and let an cool to room temperature.  Put pan in freezer to harden the crayons faster.  Remove from the pan and paper.  You will have new crayons in a fun new shape!

If you want crayons with a smooth edge, you can do it without the muffin papers.  

Snow Paint

Here's an idea I got from my local MOPS group. I thought I'd share it with all you moms with children old enough to enjoy something like this.

What you need:
1 cup water
10-12 drops food coloring
1 small spray bottle

Pour water into spray bottle.  Add 10-12 drops of food coloring.  Replace cap on bottle and shake well.  Repeat the process to make a variety of colors.  Kids can create art in the snow! 

Wheel Of Fortune

Joshua likes to watch Wheel of Fortune with Mommy and Daddy. 

 He's very good at cheering on the contestants!

 Pretty soon he'll be solving the puzzles!

Or better yet, he'll be standing right there next to Pat, winning the Prize Puzzle!

It's finally starting to set in that I have a little baby inside me.  I've been feeling it kick all day.  I've been in denial about it kicking, but I'm pretty sure what I'm feeling today is beyond doubt a little person inside of me.  It's pretty amazing and getting to be pretty exciting!!

 Joshua has a car that you push a button and it goes on its own.  Recently he developed a fascination with getting the wheels spinning and then putting them in his mouth. 

 Maybe he just enjoys the taste of rubber.

Or maybe he's just really good at being goofy.

Joshua found a chunk of snow Duke tracked in this morning.  He thought it was pretty strange, but cool.  He started to eat it, but since Duke brought it in, I thought that was gross.  So...

I got him some fresh snow from outside.  

I think he likes it!  And just wait until he tastes a real snow cone with all the sugary syrup on it!
