Each year, the Offut Air Force Base has an air show. It's free, and it's amazing!
This was my second year going, and I could go again and again.
From 9 am to 5 pm, they have plane after plane doing tricks and showing the different things that they were designed to do.
We found a little bit of shade under the wing of this massive plane.
Joshua loved watching the planes and trying to figure out exactly what was going on.
He was excited to see this helicopter land right in front of us.
And with that going on in front of us, there was even more going on in the sky.
How often do you see something like this?
At times, the planes got really loud. Jael was excited to wear her noise canceling headphone. But some of the other kids weren't as willing to wear earplugs, so they just put up with the noise.
And when Josh fell asleep, I snuck some in his ears. I don't know how well it worked, but at least he got a little nap.
After the show in the sky, we often got to see the planes taxi right by us. It was neat to see them all up close too.
Since daddy was at men's retreat, it was a mother-son outing.
And even though we missed daddy, we had a blast!
