Bulls-Eye!

 Doodle makes a great shield when playing Nerf guns.  

Every once in a while he has to take one for the team.

 (Yes, I am just kidding)

 But it is kinda funny watching him try to get the bullet off his face.  

   And no, I don't usually let him chew on the bullets...It was just a temporary thing to keep him distracted while I took a picture of him with a bullet on his face.

Conversations With Josh

Josh was sick yesterday.  He was with a babysitter when he first threw up.  She was showing him concern to see if he felt okay and he replied, "It's okay, I did the same thing with my waffles.  It's okay."

Yes, he did in fact do the same thing with his waffles months before.  It's so cute his little re-assurance for her.  Poor girl.

The next morning "Aunt" Kristen asked him if he felt better.  His response:  "Yeah, I'm not going to get my messy on the floor."  :-)

What a little trooper.  I wonder how sick he really was because in between being sick he was running around being his normal self.  I'm just glad he's feeling better!

Pictures

I'll admit, I haven't been taking many pictures lately.  That's why there is a lack of posts.  :-)  Maybe it's because I'm busy, maybe it's because I'm lacking "Kodak Moments".   But we'll work on it.  

 These are pictures of the boys getting ready to go to the grocery store yesterday.  

 Every time I say we're going to the grocery store, Josh tries to change my mind and says, "No, we're going to Hy-Vee."  He rather go to Hy-Vee than Fareway because they give free cookies and fruit snacks.  I like going to Fareway because it's cheaper.  And I'm in charge.  :-) 

 But I will admit.  Their little "give the kids cookies so they'll bring their parents in" scheme works!  Well, it would work if I took orders from my kids.  

T-Ball

 It is so cute when he squats down right before he hits the ball.

Playing Together

I just love seeing these two start to play together...or at least near each other.  They have a lot to learn, and a ways to grow, but its still so cute!

Conversations With Josh

Last night, Josh woke up and was calling for "Mommy!"  And since I was having trouble sleeping (too much Mt. Dew!) I went in to see what he needed.

Josh:  "I need some water"
Mommy:  "Ok, I'll go get you some. ...  Here ya go."
Josh starts to drink it and I sit there watching him, thinking to myself how precious he is.  Suddenly he says, "You can leave now."  (My 'precious' bubble burts.)

Slightly sarcastically, I reply, "Oh, I can leave now?"
Josh:  "You need to leave."  

Oh!  Well, don't have to tell me twice!  Um...Ok, you do have to tell me twice, but not three times!

If it's any consolation, a few minutes later he did call me back in there and want me to stay.  :-)

We have had beautiful weather this winter.  I'm not sure how warm it was yesterday, but we barely even needed our jackets.  It was great to be able to take Josh to the playground to go down the slide!

Misc

Hudson likes carrots.  Well, at least to chew on!

Holding Hudson

 Pretty soon I think Hudson will be able to hold Josh!

 

 Hudson has a bad habit or arching his back.  And he ends up like he is below.  Josh hasn't figured out how to hold him up.  It's kind of funny seeing what kind of a position Hudson gets himself into by doing that.  

 Yes, there's a lot of pictures.  I just can't ever choose just one.  I did leave a few out though, so I do have a teeny little bit of self-control.   

Josh's First Visit to the E.R.

Well, Josh has officially had his first visit to the Emergency Room.  It was a little scary for mom, but he had the nurses in love with him after the first minute.  

Josh woke up with a pretty nasty cough.  And he was wheezing a little.  It was hard for him to breathe.  However, he seemed fine when he went to bed.  And when I went in there to check on him in the night he said, "I want you to go back in your room mom, I'm ok.  Get in your bed, mom."  Just to be safe, I called the First Nurse and she started recommending a steam bath followed be going outside.  But a few minutes after hearing him breath and cough, she wanted us to take him in.  Yes, a little scary for mom.  So in we went, and after some tests and x-rays and a breathing treatment, he was doing much better.

He was actually doing this much better:

Not bad for 4 am!  :-)  And yes, he's saying "Michelle Bachman" as in the former presidential candidate. He got familiar with her name when she would call our house 5 times a day.  Her mom even called us.  :-)

Anyway, After Josh cheered up, he was too cute...and I of course had my camera.  So, here you go! 

Josh got three stickers and a sucker for being such a good boy.  

 He had a monitor on his thumb, so it was hard for him to get the sticker off the paper. 

 But he managed to get it.  He wasn't about to let that stop him...although he did try to take it off several times. 

 And yes, he had an X-ray.  It was a little scary for him, but he did great!

 He's so little in that big bed.  

 And so proud of his stickers.  

 And his thumb.

 And, his dinosaur mask he got!

I'm glad its over, and we're praying he gets better soon and doesn't have to go back.
